Vamos Local is a month-long campaign celebrating Latino-owned restaurants and food businesses throughout the Greater Portland Metro Area. Our goal is simple: connect the community with amazing local food while helping participating businesses gain visibility.

Requirements
To participate in Vamos Local, businesses must:
Be a Latino-owned restaurant. Franchises and national chains are not eligible.
Be located in the Greater Portland Metro Area or neighboring communities.
Have an online presence, such as a website, Instagram, Facebook page, or other platform that includes key business information.
Commit to helping market and promote your business during the campaign week.
Be willing to honor a Special Offer selected by your business, such as:
Free appetizer or dessert with purchase
Chef’s special or featured menu item
Fixed menu featuring your best items
Combo meal or bundle
Limited-time item or signature offering
Complete a short post-campaign survey.
There is no cost for businesses to participate.
Eligible Businesses
Vamos Local is open to Latino-owned restaurants and food-based businesses located in the Greater Portland Metro Area and neighboring communities.
Eligible businesses may include:
Restaurants
Cafés
Bakeries or panaderías
Food carts
Caterers with a public-facing presence
Dessert shops
Juice bars or specialty food businesses
Other locally owned food businesses

A few things to note.

HMC is committed to supporting selected Vamos Local businesses by providing no-cost promotional support throughout the campaign. This may include listing your business on the Vamos Local website, featuring your business through social media and digital marketing, sharing campaign materials, and helping connect the community to Latino-owned restaurants during the October 1–31 campaign.
HMC will also provide participating businesses with access to marketing resources and training support, which may include video, branding, and a marketing toolkit to help businesses promote their special offer and increase visibility.
While HMC will work to promote participating businesses and pursue media opportunities, participation does not guarantee media coverage, increased sales, or a specific number of new customers.

All information submitted through this application will be kept by HMC and used only for purposes related to the Vamos Local campaign.
HMC will not sell, share, or distribute your application information to outside parties. Contact information and internal application details will only be used by HMC to review your application, communicate with you about the campaign, provide training or marketing support, and follow up after the campaign.
If selected, HMC may use approved public business information, such as your business name, logo, photos, website, social media handles, menu items, and special offer, for Vamos Local promotional purposes only. This may include promotion on the Vamos Local website, HMC social media, email newsletters, printed materials, media outreach, and partner campaign materials.

Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Space is limited, and selected businesses will be notified by HMC.
If selected, my business agrees to participate in the Vamos Local campaign from October 1–31.
My business agrees to honor the special offer selected in this application during the campaign period.
HMC may use my business name, logo, photos, videos, menu items, website, social media handles, and other publicly shared business information for promotional purposes related to Vamos Local.
HMC may feature my business in campaign materials, including but not limited to the Vamos Local website, social media, email newsletters, print materials, media outreach, and partner promotions.
I give HMC permission to contact me about my application, campaign participation, training opportunities, marketing materials, media opportunities, and the post-campaign survey.
I agree to be added to HMC’s email list to receive updates about Vamos Local, business resources, events, trainings, and other HMC programs.
I understand that I can unsubscribe from HMC emails at any time.
I understand that information submitted through this application will be kept by HMC and used only for purposes related to Vamos Local and HMC business support. HMC will not sell, share, or distribute my application information to outside parties.
I understand that HMC will provide promotional support but does not guarantee media coverage, sales, customer traffic, or revenue.
